Juan De La Cierva/Ramon Y Cajal Grants 2018(new!)


The spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities is offering funds to promote the incorporation of Spanish and foreign researchers with a distinguished career in Research+Innovation centers through, on the one hand, grants of a duration of five years for hiring and additional financing for the execution of the research activity that is carried out. On the other hand, it offers grants for the creation of permanent jobs in the agents of the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation beneficiaries of these aids.

The grants are separated in for different modules, which are:

Juan de la Cierva formation contracts grants

The aim of the grants is to encourage the hiring of young people in possession of a doctor’s degree for a period of two years. See spanish Minister’s portal of the grants.

Date for application: 17.01.19 to 07.02.19.

Juan de la Cierva incorporation contracts grants

The aim of the grants is to encourage the hiring of young people in possession of the doctoral degree for a period of three years, in order to strengthen the skills acquired during a first stage of postdoctoral training. See spanish Minister’s portal of the grants.

Date for application: 15.01.19 to 29.01.19.

Grants for technical personnel contracts to support Research+Innovation activities

The objective of these grants is to encourage the hiring of technical support staff, for a period of three years, in R+I Centers, for the management of equipment, facilities and other R+I infrastructure. See the official portal of the grants.

Date for application: 30.01.19 to 13.02.19.

Ramón y Cajal grants for contracts

The objective of this grants is to promote the incorporation of research personnel, Spanish and foreign, with a distinguished career in Research+Innovation centers through, on the one hand, with grants of a duration of five years for their employment. See the official portal of the grants.

Date for application: 09.01.19 to 30.01.19.

For this reason, in the Chair of Computational Mathematics we are opening an internal call for applicants who may wish to receive those grants to incorporate them to our team, located in the world-class interdisciplinary research center DeustoTech in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain.
