The “Chair for Dynamics, Control, Machine Learning, and Numerics – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship (FAU DCN-AvH),” led by Professor Enrique Zuazua, invites applications for one (01) open PhD position. The position is aimed at individuals with a strong background in Partial Differential Equations, Control and Machine Learning, and their Numerical Analysis and Computational counterparts.

Position Details

• Duration: Initially one (1) year, with the possibility of extension by two/three (2-3) more years after a positive evaluation.
• Starting Date: To be adapted to the availability of selected candidate.
• Salary: Competitive international annual gross salary following the German TV-L (E 13) scale.
• Location: The position is based in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany. Successful candidate will receive a competitive international annual gross salary according to the German TV-L (E 13) scale. While the primary focus is on research activities, collaboration in teaching and mentoring is encouraged.
