Abstract. In this talk we will discuss two different viewpoints on a space-discrete reaction-diffusion equation with noise: First, as an interacting particle sytem in a bistable potential, and second, as a lattice differential equation. Each viewpoint sheds light on a different phenomenon, which will be highlighted in the talk.
