Spain. 27.05.2019. The University Institute of Operations Research Center (CIO) of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) of Elche has organized the cycle of seminars “Mayo del Talento“, which will be held until May 27. The researcher Enrique Zuazua, Principal Investigator of the Chair of Computational Mathematics who has also been awarded the Alexander von Humboldt chair, has been commissioned to inaugurate this cycle with the conference, “Dynamics and control of some models emerged in the social and biological sciences.”
During the seminar, the professor of the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Deusto (Bilbao) Enrique Zuazua has explained a series of methods and computational techniques to analyze and control dynamic systems destined to model phenomena, inspired by the broad context of the social and biological sciences. Likewise, it has considered the classic reaction-diffusion equations and has presented techniques that allow its controllability to be analyzed, which preserve the necessary restrictions in the state. During the session, he has also exposed concepts and techniques based on turnpike theory and quasi-static approaches. Finally, he has presented perspectives for future research avoiding unnecessary technical difficulties.
