The Chair of Computational Mathematics of Deusto Foundation at University of Deusto, Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain) aims to develop an active research, training and outreach agenda in various aspects of Applied Mathematics. The Chair is committed with the development of ground-breaking research in the areas of Partial Differential Equations, Control Theory, Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing; key tools for technological transfer and for the interaction of Mathematics with other scientific disciplines such as Biology, Engineering, Earth and Climate Sciences.
The Chair of Computational Mathematics is hosted by Deusto Foundation at the University of Deusto, originally devoted to the broad fields of Computer Sciences and Informatics with a strong focus and expertise in Computational Intelligence and Big Data and its applications to different sectors in Industry, Health, Energy and Transport, launched the new Chair of Computational Mathematics in October 2016 widening its scope of research, integrating new expertise in Applied and Computational Mathematics.
The match of the Chair of Computational Mathematics and Deusto Foundation in the field of Data Analytics, among other disciplines, will enhance the bet of the city of Bilbao, the region of Bizkaia and the Basque Country to become a world-class reference in Applied and Computational Mathematics and its technological and societal transfer.
