Abstract:
A method of modelling based on optimal control for advection-diffusion systems adapted to plant nutrient uptake at the root surface will be presented. This problem is encountered in agricultural systems in the presence of chemical inputs. Also it will be shown the low-regret optimal control method of J.-L. Lions. A characterization of the optimal control (optimal amount of nutrients) by a singular optimality system (SOS).
