PhD for Mathematical Modelling, Simulation and Optimization Using the Example of Gas Networks at TRR 154

Open position for a doctoral candidate at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg to work on the dynamics, control and of partial differential equations motivated by gas network dynamics. The main aim of TRR 154 is to provide certified novel answers to mathematical challenges arising in this context, based on mathematical modeling, game theory, simulation, and optimization.

The Chair in Applied Analysis – Alexander von Humboldt Professorship led by Enrique Zuazua at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg is looking for a doctorate candidate to contribute to subproject C08:

Project: C08SFB/Transregio TRR 154

Principal Investigators (PI): Falk Hante, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin | Enrique Zuazua, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg

Focused on hyperbolic and parabolic dynamics on networks and random batch methods for control

Where: FAU – Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, Erlangen-Nürnberg

Deadline for applications: October 30th, 2020
